Huck operates within three major facilities - Quincy, Illinois, Harrison, Ohio, and Albemarle, North Carolina. This combination of operating locations enables The Huck Group to optimize its retail offering with respect to Capacity, Risk Contingency, Shipping Proximity, and Manufacturing Specialization.
Capacity
Because retailer manufacturing requirements tend to fluctuate significantly throughout the year, it is essential for any major provider to have the capacity to be flexible. Our current configuration has been established with this in mind.
Risk Contingency
The Huck Group has taken every possible precaution to ensure that each facility operates uninterrupted throughout the entire year. Our three locations share overlap capabilities and total system connectivity, a winning combination to ensure project timelines are consistently met.
Proximity to You
The recent rise in fuel and transportation costs has heightened the importance of our facility's location to your stores. Because we operate out of three facilities, and regularly run transportation between each facility, we can economically deliver anything to anywhere east of the continental divide, thereby allowing us to maintain significant cost advantages.
Specialization
Although our facilities are configured to each other and offer a common set of engineering, design, and manufacturing capabilities, each also features its own area of specialization and expertise.
Quincy, Illinois
Quincy is our largest location with 160,000 square feet of manufacturing space plus an additional 100,000 square feet of storage. Quincy has a large selection of automated wood-oriented manufacturing equipment and is configured to produce large store rollouts in large quantities within very short time periods.
Harrison, Ohio
Harrison contains 170,000 square feet of manufacturing space and specializes in metal fabrication. Our Harrison facility has the capability to combine metal products with wood products.
Albemarle, North Carolina
Albemarle contains 100,000 square feet of manufacturing space and 20,000 square feet of storage. Albemarle features the same equipment and capabilities as Quincy. In addition, The Huck Group has capitalized on the North Carolina region's rich tradition of furniture and woodwork craftsmanship in order to offer a high level of intricate custom work.
