The Huck Group, Inc. is committed to investigating ways to minimize its impact on the environment and in the process, has found more sustainable and environmentally friendly materials and processes. Our wood manufacturing plants use primarily composite core materials. This core material is approximately 98% recycled content. Our composite core material is sourced from the major wood suppliers in the USA. All of these companies subscribe to, and are part of the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC). The FSC’s purpose is to coordinate the development of forest management standards throughout the U.S. Likewise, our steel products are produced from materials with highly recycled content and environmentally conscience processes.
In addition, our current processes and selection of materials conform to The South Coast Air Quality Management District (SCAQMD) rule #1168. The SCAQMD formed in 1976, is the air pollution agency responsible mainly for regulating stationary sources of air pollution. Our products also satisfy The Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Green Building Rating System, which was developed by the U.S. Green Building Council which provides a suite of standards for environmentally sustainable construction.
